Take a personal interest

Mat: 8:5-6 Further Reading Mat. 8:5-10

… a centurion came to him, (Jesus) asking for help. Lord, he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed and in terrible suffering”

Discussion:

1. Do those under you sense you care for them on a personal level?

2. What can we do to change or improve this level?

3. Where is the line of getting too close?

Thoughts:

Verse 8 tell us the centurion told Jesus he did not deserve to have Jesus come under his roof,

Notice, not his servants roof but his roof.

He brought the servant into his own home to care for him.

The centurion traveled to get help, provided his home, knew in detail his servants condition and obviously, based on this, personally cared for his servant.

Action to take this week:

Look someone who works for you in the eye and ask them how they are doing personally.

Mix it up a bit

Do you attack every problem the same way you always have.  Every great coach has a plan a , b  , c and a few more if they don't work.  Culture changes, staff changes and with that our approach to problems need to change.  Be open to new ideas on how to solve these challenges.
